Hello all,
There have been new releases of both Spectre Scan and Apex Recon and both include significant updates.
The Pro editions' Web interfaces (Spectre & Apex) now incorporate Djin!, an AI Agent within the interfaces helping you manage every resource available.
From navigating the interface and creating resources like Site Roles, to analysing issues and input entries and providing insights that were previously impossible, to accompanying you along your penetration test, providing guidance and advice.
The Spectre Scan Basic version also benefits from AI integration via the claudai and openai plugins, which analyse issues as they are discovered and attach AI analyses like patches, exploit samples, insights and more.
These plugins can also be loaded via the Spectre Scan REST API as well as the MCP API.
MCP servers are available for both products (Spectre & Apex), for further integration with your favorite AI.
Intelligence aplenty everywhere.
The rest of the changes aren't user facing, there have been a few bug fixes and optimizations under our scan engine's hood.
Also, some benign errors have been silenced in order not to alarm users.
License handling is a bit more verbose now in places.
The Trial editions for both products have been extended, so if you had tried any of them before and your license expired, feel free to give them another shot; all access pass to every feature for 30 days.
You will be amazed.
One thing to make clear: You provide the AI API token (Claude or OpenAI - more providers to come).
You are also in control of how many tokens Djin! can consume per day, via the Pro interface settings.
In addition, Spectre Scan now has a REST edition, in case people want just that and would rather avoid the more expensive MCP + REST bundling of the SDLC edition.
As usual, the Enterprise editions provide an all access pass to all interfaces and features.
On a final note, Markdown reporting has been added to Spectre Scan and the PDF report has been overhauled.
Cheers and happy scanning!
